My boy Bo Lin was a great TA. He’s super intelligent, but he’s not one of those intelligent people that make you feel like crap for not understanding topics. He’s passionate about the topic and he wants to instill that passion in us while genuinely wanting us to succeed. I appreciate him for patiently teaching me and guiding me throughout the project. I’ve been looking for jobs in data science because of my good experience in this course, and I think that Bo was a big contributor to why the experience was good. Thanks Bo :thumbs-up:
Bo was an amazing TA who always answered emails, discussion board posts, and inperson questions with a lot of knowledge and a kind attitude. I felt extremely comfortable asking questions without judgement and really appreciated the time Bo put into helping with labs and our projects. The amount of time Bo dedicated to helping our project advance was unparalleled to any TA experience I’ve had before. He truly works above his pay grade and his contributions should be recognized. The instant that immediately comes to my mind is emailing Bo with a question and consistently receiving a reply within 2hrs. This level of dedication to helping students is one that I know my group members and I appreciated greatly. Also, feedback on lab quizzes and assignment enhanced my understanding greatly and grading was done extremely promptly which I appreciated as I could feel that my time and learning as a student was valued.
Bo provided a great deal of guidance and support in this course. When I was considering dropping the course, he encouraged me to stay in the class and I am very glad I did. The project in this course allowed me to grow and learn so much and I am happy to be able to say I completed it successfully!
Bo has been an amazing TA this semester, every time I had a meeting with him I left with more understanding of the course content and a better understanding of data science and analytics in general. Always a productive conversation with Bo.
Lin is an exceptional coach for our group project in MIE368. During our meetings, he consistently demonstrates patience and attention to detail as he guides us through our project. His valuable feedback has been instrumental in helping us improve our work and take our project to the next level. We are grateful for Lin’s guidance and support.
